Senders, links, scam patterns, and anything you paste into the manual checker are analysed inside your own browser. Email content never leaves the page it is already on. Aegis has no account, no sign-in, and no backend to send anything to.

Scam knowledge updates one way only: the extension downloads a new, signed rules file and verifies it before applying. Only rules come down — nothing about your inbox is ever sent anywhere. Updates carry data, not code, which keeps Aegis compatible with the Chrome Web Store.
